Maybe I shouldn't clean my tank.
Normally I break a little piece of coral goin after slime. Today I broke my bubble blaster. It just quit working.
No problems ever then poof dead pump.

I suppose it quit because I turn it off one a week for tank maint. I probably should have just pulled the cup and let it run.

In just over 3 months it would have been in use for 2 years.
Not bad I guess

I have no idea how long the warranty was for.
Ill look for the papers that came with it but there was hardly anything in the box.

I took it apart and it's not broken.
I turned off my skimmer so it wouldn't overflow.
I turn off my return so it doesnt cavitate and my sump level rises just enough to freak out my skimmer
I got it restarted and it stopped immediately.
Add this to bad sushi and it's a sweet day.

My reef octopus has a 5 year warranty but the pump was only covered for the first year.
I guess I'm buying a new pump.

This new one is way different from the first.
It's quiet!
The pump itself is different as well. Th old pump had 3 screws and the new has 4.

I wonder why there webside says one year.. too late to return. I tossed the old one this weekend. That will piss me off cus 240 bucks on a pump could have been bulbs or coral..
